Firewire Cable For Macbook Pro
Does anyone know of a 400->800 adapter that will allow an existing Cinema HD display FW400 cable to plug directly into one of the 800 ports? Since the new macs have NO 400 ports it seems to make even the existing 30' display partially non-functional.
The Apple Stores don't carry such adapters, and a common cable with both 400 and 800 male ends won't do the job either.
The only workaround I know of is to daisychain the monitor's 400 cable into an external drive that has both 400 and 800 ports, that itself connects to the mac's 800 port.
